Amanda Makki is the Only Candidate in the Race for CD 13 to Qualify for the ‘Young Guns’ Program

in a Single Quarter

Washington, D.C. - Amanda Makki (@amandamakki) is the only candidate in the race for Florida’s 13th Congressional District to achieve the first milestone of the ‘Young Guns’ program, led by the NRCC and House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy, in a single fundraising quarter. Makki joins a select group of candidates who have attained ‘On the Radar’ status. She has achieved every rigorous goal set by the program and has exceeded each benchmark.

“I’m so thrilled to be the only candidate in the FL-13 race to qualify for the Young Guns program in just one quarter of fundraising,” said Amanda Makki. “This speaks to the enthusiasm of conservatives in Pinellas County who don’t want to see another missed opportunity in our district. They believe that our campaign is the only one that can flip this seat and the House of Representatives next November!”

Young Guns is run by the National Republican Congressional Committee. It identifies candidates who embody conservative principles and show promise of running a successful campaign in the most competitive congressional seats in the 2022 election cycle.

Makki has been endorsed by five mayors - more than any other Republican or Democrat in the FL-13 open race: Seminole Mayor Leslie Waters, Madeira Beach Mayor John Hendricks, North Redington Beach Mayor Bill Queen, Redington Beach Mayor David Will, and Belleair Shore Mayor Bob Schmidt. 2018 Republican nominee for FL-13 George Buck has also endorsed Makki. Florida’s own Maggie’s List endorsed Makki. Maggie’s List is the leading national organization focused on electing strong conservative women to Congress.

Makki has spent her career fighting for conservative values as a Senior Republican Healthcare advisor for the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives, a frequent commentator on conservative ideals and strategy on Fox News, Fox Business, Newsmax, and several other networks. She served in the Pentagon after 9/11, and as an attorney during the Wisconsin recount for President Trump.
