Clearwater Mayor Frank Hibbard is the Eighth Pinellas Mayor to Endorse Amanda Makki for Congress

CLEARWATER, FL - Clearwater Mayor Frank Hibbard joins seven other Pinellas Mayors in supporting Amanda Makki (@amandamakki) in the race for Florida’s 13th Congressional District.

“I am endorsing Amanda in the race for the Congressional District 13 seat because she is a conservative who I believe can work with others in Washington to get results for Clearwater and Pinellas County,” said Mayor Frank Hibbard. “As the second-largest city in Pinellas, our beaches and transportation infrastructure are important to Clearwater and Amanda has demonstrated her understanding of our needs. I'm also confident that when a constituent calls, Amanda will answer just as the late Congressman Bill Young always did.”

“Mayor Hibbard is a man of faith, values, and leadership. These admirable qualities along with his drive to give back and serve the residents of Clearwater are just a few of the reasons I am honored to have his endorsement,” said Amanda Makki. “I am ready to serve the people of Pinellas County in Washington and I’ll never stop fighting for our conservative values.”

Makki has been endorsed by eight Pinellas Mayors - more than any other Republican or Democrat in the FL-13 race. Her endorsements include: Clearwater Mayor Frank Hibbard, Belleair Mayor Mike Wilkinson, Largo Mayor Woody Brown, Seminole Mayor Leslie Waters, Madeira Beach Mayor John Hendricks, North Redington Beach Mayor Bill Queen, Redington Beach Mayor David Will, Belleair Shore Mayor Bob Schmidt, the 2018 Republican nominee for FL-13 George Buck, the widow of former Pinellas Congressman Bill Young, Beverly Young, The Republican Main Street Partnership and Florida’s own Maggie’s List. Maggie’s List is the leading national organization focused on electing strong conservative women to Congress.

Makki has spent her career fighting for conservative values as a Senior Republican Healthcare advisor for the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives, a frequent commentator on conservative ideals and strategy on Fox News, Fox Business, Newsmax, and several other networks. She served in the Pentagon after 9/11, and as an attorney during the Wisconsin recount for President Trump.
