St. Petersburg, FL - The Amanda Makki for Congress campaign announced today that Amanda Makki (@amandamakki) has raised more than $295,000 in less than two and a half months since entering the race for Congress in District 13. The campaign has $285,000 cash on hand. Based on finance reports and campaign statements, Makki raised significantly more money and has more cash on hand than her two Republican primary opponents.
“There is momentum among conservatives in Pinellas County to elect a candidate who can win in CD 13 and help flip the House of Representatives back to red next November,” said Amanda Makki. “It was an honor to be invited into so many homes, businesses, and gatherings throughout Pinellas County to speak face-to-face with voters who are as passionate as I am. The numbers we’re reporting today reveal the confidence they have in me, my campaign, and my commitment to winning this race.”
Amanda Makki’s hard work, dedication to CD 13, and fundraising success have earned her a coveted spot in the “Young Guns” program. Makki is the only Republican candidate in CD 13 to achieve “On the Radar” status in a single fundraising quarter. The Young Guns program is led by the NRCC and House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy.
Makki has been endorsed by Seminole Mayor Leslie Waters, Madeira Beach Mayor John Hendricks, North Redington Beach Mayor Bill Queen, Redington Beach Mayor David Will, Belleair Shore Mayor Bob Schmidt, and 2018 Republican nominee for FL-13 George Buck. Florida’s own Maggie’s List has also endorsed Makki. Maggie’s List is the leading national organization focused on electing strong conservative women to Congress.
Amanda Makki has spent her career fighting for conservative values as a Senior Republican Healthcare advisor for the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives, a frequent commentator on conservative ideals and strategy on Fox News, Fox Business, Newsmax, and several other networks. She served in the Pentagon after 9/11, and as an attorney during the Wisconsin recount for President Trump.
